Hello everybody, I just wanted to add a bit of self help advice that I wrote myself last night at a very significant part of the night. I hope you take something away from this and learn to be a better you.
• Be Confident, fake it if you have to.
• Be Creative in everyday and non-everyday situations. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!
• Be strong; do not bow before down things you might be afraid of.
• Understand others, put yourselves in their shoes and that goes for everyone you meet/know.
• Communicate with your fellow human beings; know their pain and desire; always be in tune.
• Take the time to listen. You will learn things important to your survival and goals in life.
• Do not be prone to inaction. The ground is hot lava, if you stand still, you die.
• Write your thoughts down, sometimes the best thoughts and revelations are fleeting. Be a firm believer in serendipity.
• Start everyday with a mental drill sergeant keeping you thinking intelligently every minute of everyday, you stop thinking, the boogieman eats you.
• Be happy; emotion makes emotion and creates positive effects within your life.
• Look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself something positive about yourself.
• Both verbalize and write down your desires everyday for that day, that week, that month, that year, that decade, that century.
• At the end of each day; think about things you might be able to improve on and write them down; use this little journal as a way to improve daily.
• Put everything you want into action. Even if it is just on a small scale; after all, even an avalanche starts as one snowball. Start now, not later – the sooner that snowball is formed, the sooner it will affect a positive trend of change throughout your life and before you know it you have 30 avalanches worth of snow built up.
• Take the time to appreciate all the small things in your life; without them, life would be boring.
• Value problems and the unexpected; for these are what keep life interesting.
• Try to learn at least 10 new things everyday.
• Exercise everyday. Eat at least one healthy meal.
• Dare yourself to change.
• Perform one selfless act a day.
• Bad times will come, learn to understand that you must have contrast in life, you cannot have good without the bad; therefore you must embrace the bad if you are to really embrace the good. (Added by Kelly)
• Do not take vacations and/or make big expenditures unless you complete an important goal in life. Rewarding yourself for nothing is self defeating.
• If you want something, go after it relentlessly.
• Lastly, become perfect on your own scale.
